Swirly Steak

Jon doesn't like tomatoes. At least that's what he says. However, it doesn't stop me from serving them, as we all know. Instead of pureeing them into the food (hah!) I just wrap the food around it. And he eats them up. Every tomatoey bite.

Swirly Steak
2 sirloin filets
salt and pepper
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
pesto

1) Heat oven to 400. Season beef with salt and pepper.
2) Place on broiling pan and roast 20-25 miunutes.
3) Let filets sit 10 minutes before slicing, slice into thin strips.
4) Wrap tomato halves with beef strips and secure on skewer. Top with dollop of pesto.

  4. That wouldn't work on me. I'd take the pesky tomatoes out of the meat and they'd be all that was left.
