Bingo!

Thatboy had another party at work this week. His parties start in the afternoon and go on for half the evening, so he doesn't have much of an appetite for dinner when he gets him. A night like this calls for appetizers for dinner. Inspired by the cooking board I'm on where appetizers for dinner went through a major resurgence this week, I searched the fridge for some easy throw together snackers to go with some Spanish Cava and a movie - something really intellectual....Harold and Kumar go to Guantamo Bay. I adore Neil Patrick Harris.

Barbeque Meatballs
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/8 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 cup molasses
  • cooked meatballs (I defrosted some I had already in the freezer)
  1. Bring BBQ sauce, worcestershire sauce, and molasses to a boil in large skillet.
  2. Add meatballs and cover in sauce. Cover and simmer 10 minutes until meatballs are heated through.

Pears with Gorgonzola
  • block of gorgonzola cheese (not the crumbs), room temperature
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • chopped walnuts
  • crackers
  1. Spread 1 tsp gorgonzola cheese on crackers.
  2. Add pear slices.
  3. Sprinkle with walnuts.
