So I am back from my week with Jon's family. Its good to be back. I notice the longer I'm away from home the crankier I get and the day I go home I get really happy again. Its nice spending Christmas with Jon's fmaily though since we don't celebrate. Especially with his neice, nephew, and their new baby kitten Andy. But now its getting into big wedding prep time. We flew back last night, its ridiculous to try to fly from San Jose to San Diego. Last time and last night our flight was canceled. Luckily we were able to fly into Orange County, but that meant we had to drive down to San Diego today and back up. It was flooded everywhere down in San Diego, I don't know who said it never rains in Southern California. But they lied. Big time. Its much nicer to be off the road now though and in a warm, dry house.

Whoa Mexico, it sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low
So this has been an a-maaz-ing week. First and foremost Jon got his second interview with the OC DA (fingers crossed fingers crossed) which is not only good in itself, but it meant he got to spend 4 extra days with me! Secondly, my mom who is a knit-o-holic has found an outlet to sell her stuff and they are going like hotcakes. This means she's getting paid to do something she loves (and does even without making money) which should make anybody happy. THEN thirdly I finished my first round of finals in law school. Woo hoo! That means I am officially done with my first semester. I don't even care how I did (no that's a lie I really want to to do well) but it feels sooo good to be done!!!!
So we decided to celebrate by going to Mexico. It was a blast. There were eight of us and we stayed in a dive in Rosarito, got drunk in a dive bar (no really, there were 2 groups in the bar, and a group of locals who were doing lines and smoking joints.....right beside us. ) We had dinner in Puerto Neuvo- lobster. We had to park in front of this guy's home - a nonworking van, but he promised he'd watch our cars for us. We also went dancing at Papa's and Beers which was way different than the last time Jon and I had gone during spring break, but just as dirty. Firstly they had a bull there. "Oh a bull's not dirty" you say, but you would be wrong. They weren't trying to knock people off, but simulate sex. There were two people riding at the same time facing each other and well...you get the picture. Then there was the nipple moment. I mean, I've seen girls flash before, but I've never seen one girl lick another girls nipples in public. Man I love Mexico.
But after a full weekend of celebration its time to get back and get ready for my trip to northern California. I only hope next week is as fun!

If it was fun they'd call it Disneyland and everyone would want to go
My least favorite part of studying is the fact its so boring. Especially when you have to do it all day for days on end. There should be some way to make studying fun. Like a study fairy who drops gifts from the sky to those who have their head in a book. Or if all the study aids were more like coloring books. There are practically no connect the dots in any of my crim books, outlines, or studyguides. And think how much more you would study if you could draw a maze from the murderer to the exculpatory defense which will exculpate him? I know I would learn more.
My other least favorite part of studying is the stupid review sessions. Now don't get me wrong, I need to review as much as the next guy...oh wait that's my problem... I don't need to review as much as the next guy. The next guy REALLY needs to review more. In fact he should be reviewing more on his own and not wasting our time during the review session since it appears he knows nothing! Seeeriously, I don't think you're supposed to go to the review session if you haven't done any studying or READ OVER YOUR CLASS NOTES. If you don't know why breaking into someone's workspace and killing them might consititue felony murder (hint: breaking and entering...what could that mean?) Then maybe you should be REALLY concerned about this final since we spent a month on felony murder. Or maybe you should read in your class notes where we discussed it. Or maybe you should look at the cases in the case book which deal with this exact problem. (Me thinks the study fairy might pass over this house)

"While money doesn't buy love, it puts you in a great bargaining position"
So I'm home with the 'rents for the night. It's nice to be home and have someone take care of you for a little bit. It also means I got to catch up on all my holiday movie watching. My dad seems to have some fascination with Christmas movies...which isn't so strange, except we're Jewish. But I probably have seen more Christmas movies than your average so-and-so. Anyway, just enjoying the break before the break. OOOO but I did get to go to the library today. (Is it sad that going to the library is one of my favorite things to do?) I got soooo many great books and I can't wait to devour all of them! They're my reward for finishing finals...that and being done with finals ;-)

"I'm going to march you over to the zoo and feed you to the Yak"
oooo I bet you're on the edge of your seats wondering what I'll write today. Well I'm sure that it will thrill you to no end to learn that I have spent the large majority of the day studying. mmmm I do love them finals! At least I only have one left. And all this studying criminal law can only lead to my success. If I do not become an excellent lawyer, at least I will have some ideas on how to commit crimes and not be convicted!

"Ah, but there is no point in me wearing shoes, sir. I never wear shoes, 'cause they make me fall down."
Have you seen "The Birdcage?" Well you know Agador, the cuban maid that Hank Azaria plays? I swear he just taught my step class. The guy's name is Paco and he kept telling us how cute he was and rubbing his butt. It was hysterical. I was laughing so hard I almost forgot how hard I was sweating! That's why I love taking classes in the gay part of town!
A little Patience
Okay so I have been totally inspired to start my own blog, but I know oh-so-very-little about them. I'm also one of those people who wonders if anyone even really cares about what goes on in their lives. I mean I am hardly famous or even notorious. But then again, there is something perversly satisfying about getting to glimpse inside someone elses head. And it feels really weird opening other peoples' heads and not letting them look in yours, like watching a group of people play truth or dare and not particiapting. So I'm opening mine up. And for those of you who like a little mystery in their lives, I will not proceed to reveal every little fact about myself. Things that are important will become readily apparent, and more will be revealed as I write... I hope!
